We are SO excited because our best friends are getting married this summer! Wich means: we finally get to be wedding guests (and even maid of honour and groomsman) and get to experience a wedding drom "the other side"!! YAY! Of course they want us to be part of their celebration, so we do not have to work and take photos at a wedding for once ... :)

On one hand we are a bit sad, because we really love capturing weddings - especially when it's someone's wedding who you we are really close to. We can already imagine that it can get very hard to resist the urge to capture every beautiful moment. Still, we are curious how it’s going to be, not having to do that during a wedding day and we are also very excited about the fact that we get to party and experience seeing our friends getting married and celebrate their love with them. :)

We're also very sure, that their photographer will be doing the best job.

Yes - of course we helped pick out a wedding photographer for them. :)

They still value our work so much, so they decided to book us for a couple session after they got engaged last summer.

They told us, they wanted photos that show the excitement of getting engaged, so they can remember that summer forever and also photos that match their wedding theme and colours so they can use the pictures for their wedding invitations. Nothing easier than that. :)

Together we collected some images on pinterest and created a moodboard. We then went through those photos to decide where to go to take these pictures. They chose lots of photos outside in nature, in fields, not so many trees and clear evening skies: so we immediately knew where to go.

We went to Perchtoldsdorfer Heide, one of our favourite spots for photos in the south of Vienna. It was a weekday evening so there weren’t too many people around. And even though it was already the end of September, the weather and light was perfect and exactly what we wanted.

We also talked about outfits and props beforehand, so we knew that it would match the theme and could fully concentrate on taking the photos during our photoshoot and just have a good time playing around with our friends and our ideas.

Besides our trusted sony alpha 7III we used our analog canon Eos3 with Kodak Portra 400 for this photoshoot.

Here's a small selection of the pictures we took:

We were really excited, when we got the “save the date” card and the wedding invitation, where we got to see our pictures in use.

People often ask what the occasion for a couple photoshoot would or could be.

This - for example -  but to be honest, we don’t think you really need a reason to have nice photos of yourself and the person you love. :)
